This is how it works

A virtual fence uses GPS technology to keep animals within a defined area – without the need for traditional physical fences. You simply draw your boundaries in the Skygraze app on your phone or tablet, and they are sent to the collars via the mobile network.
When an animal approaches the virtual boundary, the collar emits a warning sound, followed by a mild electrical stimulus if the animal continues towards the boundary. Most animals learn the system within a few days to a week. Once they are trained, they turn around as soon as they hear the warning sound.

When an animal reaches the virtual boundary, the collar emits an escalating warning sound for 8 seconds. If the animal continues forward, the sound is followed by a mild electrical stimulation. The procedure is repeated a maximum of three times, after which the stimulation function is deactivated and the animal is considered to have escaped. You receive an escape alert directly in the app on your phone. In most cases, the animal naturally turns back towards the rest of the herd. They never receive a stimulation when returning.
